How often do I need to feed it to my pet?
Our soft chews should be given daily to help your pet build and maintain deterrence against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.

How long does it take to start working?
It should take about 4 weeks of daily consumption for the full effects to kick in.

So after the initial 4 weeks, do I need to continue feeding the chews?
Yes, consistency is key! We strongly recommend continuing the daily feeding to maintain the natural resistance your pet has built up from the chews. The benefits of our product are only in effect while your pet(s) are given them so once you stop, the effects of the chews may go away.

What if I only get fleas in my area seasonally?
Since the benefits of our product are only in effect while your pet(s) are given them, it is up to you when your pet needs the flea protection. If you want the peace of mind of having deterrence all year round, then we recommend using them year round. We do have both customers who order seasonally and customers who order year round, depending on their environment and what they've experienced with fleas and other pests at their location.

Where is it made?
Our products are manufactured in the state of Illinois in a FDA-approved facility with SQF Level 3 certification.

Does your product contain any chemicals or medication?
Absolutely not! There are no chemicals or medication in any of our chews. We believe in taking a natural and holistic approach to pet care and our products reflect those values.

Does your product kill fleas?
No, our product does not work to kill fleas since it does not contain any chemicals, like insecticides in traditional flea treatments. Instead, it works to help your pet build a natural resistance to fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes to prevent an active infestation from taking place on your lovely pet.

What if my pet already has fleas? Can they take your product? Will the Natural Flea Deterrent chews kill the fleas?
As you use our Natural Flea Deterrent, the natural ingredients build up in your pet’s system and create a natural shield that helps protect against infestation. Over time, the deterring properties of our soft chews should eventually stop an active infestation, but best use of our product is in a preventative fashion, to keep pests from taking up residence with your lovely pet.
We recommend getting rid of the fleas first and then supplementing our chews to keep the fleas off your pet so you don’t have to fight an active infestation!
In the case of an active infestation, our product works best in conjunction with other natural home remedies, such as flea shampoo and flea combs. We tend to think of our product as a safe, healthy first defense that can help you avoid the need to use toxic chemicals on your pets.

Are your products safe for puppies/kittens?
Although our product is painstakingly manufactured to be safe for all ages, we recommend checking in with a veterinarian as puppies/kittens usually have not been tested for allergies. If your dog/cat has allergies that haven't been identified - for example to chicken or grains used in our chew - they may have a reaction.

Are your products safe for pregnant/nursing pets?
Although our product is safe for pets of all ages, our product is not intended for pregnant or nursing pets and we recommend consulting with a veterinarian before feeding our chews.

Are your products safe for pets on medication or with medical conditions?
Our products are formulated without any chemicals or medication, so it should be safe for all pets. However, we always recommend screening the product with your veterinarian if your pet has a medical condition or is currently taking any prescription medication.

Is it safe to use if my pet is currently taking prescription flea medication or using another flea treatment?
Our chews are made with all natural ingredients and formulated without any chemicals or medication, so it should not cause any danger to be used simultaneously with other flea medication. However, we always recommend consulting with your veterinarian.

What’s the difference between your Natural Flea Deterrent chews for Cats and Dogs?
Both have the same great flea-deterring formula! The main difference is the ingredients we use for flavoring to tailor to each animal’s palatability. The dog chews are flavored with real chicken heart and liver. The cat chews are flavored with catnip, cat-specific chicken and cream flavor.

My pet is allergic to chicken and/or grains.
We do not recommend our Natural Flea Deterrent chews to your pet, since we include chicken and grains in this product.
However, we have other products that may be of use for you, such as our flea combs, flea shampoos, and flea sprays.

My pet is having a reaction (diarrhea, vomiting, lethargic)!
We’d recommend to stop feeding the chews for a few days and see if the symptoms resolve. Then start again and if symptoms return, then discontinue the use of our product.
We also recommend consulting with your vet to check for any potential unidentified allergies your pet may have with any of the ingredients we include in our chews.

Recommended Dosage for Dogs
Here is what we recommend daily depending on your dog’s weight:
- < 5 lbs: ¼ chew
- 5 – 10 lbs: ½ chew
- 11 - 15 lbs: ¾ chew
- 16 – 20 lbs: 1 chew
- 21 – 40 lbs: 2 chews
- 41 – 60 lbs: 3 chews
- 61 – 80 lbs: 4 chews
- 81+ lbs: 5 chews

My dogs won’t eat the chews!
We got some suggestions for you to try! Here are some tips for getting your dog to eat the chews:
- Mixing and mashing the soft chews into your dog’s food
- Hiding it in a treat
- Stuffing it in a piece of meat they like
- Wrapping it around a piece of cheese
- Covering it with peanut butter

My cats won’t eat the chews!
Please don’t give up just yet! We know cats can be picky eaters, but we got a few tricks up our sleeves to offer you. Here are some tips for getting your cat to eat the chews:
- Put the chew in a pill pocket or a gel cap
- Cut up/Crumble the chew, and mix into your cats wet/dry food
- Put the chew into any kind of soft treat, or inside a piece of tuna or chicken
- Mix and dilute the chew in water, then mix the water into your cat's wet or dry food. In this case, you're creating a kind of 'chew soup', now here - you can gradually mix in more and more of this soup as time goes on. You start small (so your kitty gets used to the taste) and gradually increase it.
- Mash the chew with some canned pumpkin (for some reason this works great!)

Where are you shipping from?
We ship out from our warehouse in Torrance, CA.

How long will my order take to arrive?
We ship out orders within 1-2 business days after it’s been placed. Once it leaves our warehouse, it should take 3-10 business days to arrive. We will send you an email containing your tracking information once it ships, so you can track your shipping status.

What shipping carrier do you use?
We ship all our orders through FedEx.

How much is shipping?
All US orders over $40 receive automatic free shipping! For orders less than $40, we charge $4.95 for shipping.

Do you ship to outside of the US?
Yes, we ship to outside the US as well! However, there will be an automatic $20 USD international shipping fee added to your order once you enter your shipping address.

Can I buy your products in stores or on a different website?
We are only available for purchase directly on our website.

My order was marked delivered, but I haven’t received it yet.
We suggest giving it another day for the product to show up. In our experience, some mail carriers tend to get it marked as delivered but physically deliver at a later time/date.
If it does not show up by the end of the day after your tracking info was marked delivered, please contact us and we can send a replacement unit out to you if need be.
Returns & Refunds

What if your product doesn’t work for my pet?
We have a 60-day money back guarantee. That means if you give us a try and find that it didn’t produce results for your pets or you are dissatisfied with our product, we will offer a full refund for any orders placed within 60 days, starting from the delivery date and the day you contact us requesting a refund.

I’m interested in a refund. What do I need to do?
Please email info@guardianschoice.com with your order number (located in your order confirmation email sent when you placed your order) requesting a refund along with a brief description why you’d like to request a refund.
If you cannot locate your order number, please email us with the email address you placed your order under and our Customer Support Team will help you locate your order and check your refund eligibility.
You may be asked to return any unopened bottles for your full refund. Please specify how many unopened bottles you have available for return and we will generate a free return shipping label* for you. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and issue your refund.
We do not accept returns on any unopened bottles. If you have any opened bottles - no need to return the remaining chews. You can donate to a friend/family member or an organization where someone with a dog/cat might benefit, or you can simply discard the remaining portion.
*If and when the customer requires additional postage for their return, please contact Customer Support by emailing info@guardianschoice.com and we can generate a new prepaid return shipping label for the customer. If this is not done, then any extra costs will be at the expense of the customer.
